The Grass Isn’t Always Greener on the Other Side

  • Posted by: sheena

We’ve all heard the saying “the grass is always greener on the other side”, but that is until you get to the other side. We all go through troubles and suffer at times, but instead of confronting these problems, people tend to run away from them and look for an easy solution elsewhere. Just because you get to “the other side” does not mean that all your problems will magically vanish.

Accepting reality is something that we all have to come to terms with, instead of envying others and their happiness, you should start watering your own side and making it prosper.  If we can accept reality for what it is, we have the chance to develop it, to improve it, and to grow it. The grass may not be greener on the other side, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that your side is dead, you just need to take care of it and put work. Don’t give up so easily on life just because something may not be going the way that you want it to, make amendments and make your side greener.

If you move into a new place, you my feel like an outcast, perhaps even lonely, and may think there’s better times coming. Good news, there is, but they will not come if you don’t do anything about it. You have to adjust, make new friends, and conform with the environment. This goes for everything in life, we as humans have to adjust to situations that may not be favorable at first, but we work our way through it.
